I made this:

CatCat
CatCat!

I made this “pointy kitty” from a free pattern that I found at Wee Wonderfuls. I had much better results than with that first poor little mouse. I sewed the cat’s body and head one night after work and stuffed it.

Then another night I went to Kim’s and sewed on the features, while she scrapbooked. I was totally exhausted so I was pretty happy that the next morning the kitty actually looked okay and wasn’t totally crooked or anything.

I was carrying around a kitty with a head not attached to its body till I got a chance on Saturday, after helping my family paint the house. I sewed on his head while sitting around chatting. As soon as I was done Chris said, “Is that for me?”

So the kitty has a home to go to already. We discussed names. I thought it looked like a Muriel, but Chris thought my first kitty should be a Ruthie.

It was fun to make. I’ll be making another one soon.

You don’t have to give me your first sewing masterpiece! I was just expressing how much I liked it. You are so talented!!
I do want one, but not your first.

You can have her! My sad little mouse was my first sewn stuffed animal, so I will be hanging onto him.

But Ruthie/Murial is all yours. I was thinking of you when I was working with that fabric, so she must be meant for you.

Oh, my God, Kate, that is the cutest thing ever! Jay and I did simultaneous “Awwws” when we saw it. Great job!
