I just dropped Pat off at the airport and I can’t sleep. So I might as well post.

Yesterday was a very full day. It should have been a rest day, but there is apparently a lot to do when you move to a new place. After breakfast we met with the people in the apartment complex office, then went and re-bought stuff we sold or gave away in RI, had lunch, went to the market, got pizza, and did our laundry in the “clothes care center” up the street.

I think the kitty dynamic around here has changed, although they are far from settled in, so I guess it could change again. Back on Rockland Ave, Moses had been pretty aloof ever since we got Zoe. Not that he was the cuddliest cat in the world before we got her. But after we got her, he rarely wanted to play, which was a big change for him. One reason we had gotten Zoe was so that Moses would have someone to play with, because before we got her, he wanted to play all the time.

Now he has been playing both last night and this morning. And it seemed like at Rockland Ave he was letting Zoe push him around and hog all the attention. Not here. He is actually standing up for himself! And so cuddly!

I don’t know what effect this is going to have on Zoe. I wish they weren’t so possessive and jealous of everything. They are growling about 75% less from yesterday, so thats good. Moses is wandering around the apartment meowing right now. The neighbors are going to love us!

I’m glad to hear that the growling is down a bit! Interesting how they have reacted to their new home.

Wishing Partick a safe ride back to you. Love, Mom
