Our First NC Snow

Icicles on the birdfeeder this morning. They even canceled school in Wake County. I had to venture out to the post office to send a flower pin to the United Kingdom. The roads were just wet, but my car was coated in a thin sheet of ice. You know the static-y kind that you can’t get off. Pretty yucky out there. Last week we were in the mid-seventies. People in New England always say “If you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute” and that at the slightest hint of a storm everyone rushes out and stocks up on milk and bread. I am thinking these are more universal traits than each community wants to admit.

Of course there are a lot of “Yankees” down here, so that may effect things too. They use the term Yankee pretty loosely, pretty much means everyone that is not from the southeast.

The cats look cold. Guess I better tell them to go put on a sweater.

Wow! We have not had snow yet in Portsmouth. That bird feeder is pretty with icicles. Where was it you said you moved to?
I’m off to Gram’s to show her how to view your http://mosesandzoe.com/

snowing in Douglas tonight. We (the teachers) are all hoping for a snow day… or even a delay. Just because we haven’t had any yet! Yes, by all means, tell the cats to get sweaters. Perhaps you could craft them?
