Oooh, I have the Allman Brothers Band and the Sleater-Kinney album. They're both good stuff when I need a change of pace from the ordinary trip-hop I'm used to. I've been a fan of the Allmans since back in the day, but I recently picked up the S-K album because I'm trying to get CDs of the bands I used to like in High School. I also bought Dinosaur Jr and Pavement. Ends up there's a reason they were both one-hit wonders. I'll have to check out Muse and Ratatat.

Ratatat-Classics: Good rhythm for sewing. Usually I prefer songs with lyrics, but this album is the exception to the rule.

The Avalanches-Since I Left You: Also has a good beat. It kind of has a 70's pop feel to it, only it is good.

Cat Power-The Greatest- and lots of live recordings: Very mellow. I like to listen to this when I am stressed out.

Indigo Girls-Rites of Passage: I learned all the lyrics on this album when Kim and I drove back from Yellowstone Park together. It is still one of my favorite albums to sing along with at the top of my lungs.

Girl Talk-Night Ripper: This is kind of a guilty pleasure and I definitely wouldn't say I recommend it to anyone. It is mash-ups of popular songs, lots of foul language and it is very bad to get a song stuck in your head, because trust me you don't want to be singing this stuff out loud in public. Thats all I'll say about that.
