Re-Changing Jobs

Some of you may remember a posting about me starting a new job. Those of you keeping score might remember that post occurred just about a month ago. Well, this being a season of lots of change, I decided to change jobs! Again! I left the large Research-Triangle based corporation for many reasons, the biggest being a big-time vibe of job insecurity. Also, the commute got to be a little longer then I thought it would be.

And while the Rockland-Ave Code of Secrecy prevents me from saying exactly where, I can say that I work for a large Raleigh-based newspaper as a web designer. Today was my first day, and it went well. I think it’s going to be fun work, and my new coworkers seem cool, plus the commute is half.

It’s been a little stressful, starting, leaving, then starting another job, but I think it will be a good move (and really it better be, we have a mortgage to pay now!)

And speaking of job related change…. Kate appears to be in control of the store she works at. She goes in, dictates job terms, and then the next day changes them again. As of today, she’s full time again, but no longer working weekends and now working for more cash.
