Art and Assembly

Yesterday we ventured to the North Carolina Museum of Art to check out Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism, of which I received some free passes to from my work. (The museum itself is free, though, which is good to know in the future).

The exhibit was pretty cool, featuring impressionist landscapes painted by European and American artists. It’d been a long time since either of us visited a museum, so it was nice to get back.

Today we got productive and assembled the crib for Ted (Thanks!). It’s pretty crazy knowing that this kid is coming to stay at our house. And that’s where he’ll sleep.

The cats were intrigued, mostly by the cardboard boxes. They have no idea what to expect, but they know something is up.

  1. The Museum in Raleigh I found very impressive which is saying something since I lived in DC with the National Gallery near by for so many years. They had a pretty amazing Monet exhibit a little while back. The gallery is going to be adding an additional wing soon. They are currently rotating many of their peaces because they dont have room for everything. I’m not sure when they are going to break ground on that though.

    Assembly is an art, too.

Looking forward to seeing your gallery in a few weeks!

  3. Maybe Grammie Cass can paint a Monet mural in the new nursery?

Or Patrick, you are a painter at heart, get to it!

…and where did you think the kid was going to live? Close to you two seems like a good plan.

Yes, those kitties are wicked smaaaahht.

    xxoo
