Forty Four Hours in New England
As some of you may know, the Rockland-ave family of…. family members is set to expand by 1 in the next few months.
This is very exciting news, but it also presented us with a problem in regards to stuff. I have lots of stuff, Kate has lots of stuff, and the cats even have a lot of stuff, but very little of that stuff will be compatible with Ted. We also had a doctor check with his ultrasound machine and he confirmed that Ted is arriving without clothes or books or blankets or toys. What gives with that?
Lucky for us we’re related to some problem solvers. So last weekend we flew up to New England for a baby shower. We got to see lots of family members and friends (including blogrollers Kristen & Josh, my folks, Megan and Brett and crew, Jay & Erin, BSP and Tracy and lots of cool other people without blogs), which was cool on its own, and ate lots of good food and got tons of great stuff for Ted. So much stuff we filled a van with it to get it back home!
Here are some pics (I stole from Cheech) from the day:
Now Ted’s room totally looks like someone could move in there and bet set as a baby. Big-time thanks to all our families (especially the guest blogger) for putting this on and for all our friends and fam for coming to see us and give us cool stuff! It was a fun weekend.
