Ted, Day One

Suffice to say, yesterday was the most intense day of either of our lives.  For me, nothing has been more emotionally profound then seeing the birth of this little guy:
Ted

He came screaming into our lives just before noontime yesterday. He’s pretty rad. His name is Edward, and we’ll call him Ted.

Kate was awesome through the whole thing, and is resting fairly comfortably now. Her mom, sisters, and newphew Jack are down here welcoming him into the world. (Shoutout to the Kate for support at home.)

Stats for those keeping score: 7 lbs, 6oz. 19 Inches long.

All three of us are tired, but ecstatic.

What a great gift Ted is. You both should be very proud parents (how does that sound?)and it really doesn’t get any better than this. Relish these moments and you’ll always look back with pride knowing that these will be among the best days of your lives!

    Woohoo! Yay for TED.
We’ve been wondering and I finally thought to look at the blog. Almost, almost an April Fools baby.
I’m expecting daily pics and some of that Ted-love.
How will the cats take this new arrival??

I hope it was a smooth process :)
We’re looking forward to meeting him.

  9. Patrick, what a handsome lad! I see you all over him! To the family I’d like to say, I work with Patrick and he’s been raised well. To his wife I say, there’s an award waiting for you sweety. I’m sure you’re use to the dry sarcasm. For some reason ….. I miss it today…..But onward and upward! Don’t let the poor child turn into the baby from The Family Guy!

    All the best! Congrats!

Thanks for the kind messages everyone :) We’re now all safely at home, slowly adjusting to our new lives. Kate’s mom is here with us, doing all the can to keep the gears rolling.

Ted is doing well. He doesn’t say much, but seems to like his new digs.
