This week Ted has been working on his “ooooo” sound. Very cute. Less cute is his continuing on with the happy shrieking. He is very close to rolling all the way over, but he is still holding out on us. He will do it with a little help, but not on his own. He stands up very well for long periods, with just a little balance help from us and he is sitting up on his own for a few seconds too.
I cut back on the intensity of my goal of getting him to nap in the crib. It had gotten to the point, where he had decided, if they had to be in the crib, then he didn’t need naps after all. So we spent the past week taking naps in Pat and my bed, trying to get him back into the routine of taking naps and I just started throwing in a crib nap here and there and it is working out much better for us. I just don’t think he was ready for every nap to be in the crib and I was not ready to lay down the law.
Here are some of the many moods of Ted:
Assertive
Shy
Questioning
Playful
Goofy
Oh my! He is amazing and you need to get him lined up with Jack’s agent and photographer! They could do a cousin duet of cuteness. His old man’s kinda cute, too.
It was great to skype with all~y’all and see how he is beginning to sit up.
You are one clever mama Kate, to adapt the nap as needed and however it works.
xxoo
Oh my!
That questioning pose looks like Beth!
Ted does have a lot of moments where he looks like his mother’s family. But he certainly is his father’s son!
I made the first one my desktop at work and it is cracking me up. If anyone is giving me grief – I’m going to make them deal with Ted! :)
