Like a modern day Kojak, Ted wants to get to the bottom of mysteries.  Kate tought him how to find his way out of the wrong side of a game of peekaboo.

    Object constancy, or object permanence is what he’s learning. That if you’re behind a door, or go out of sight or are hidden by something you still persist in the world.

    I have a paper on this….if you really want some light reading on saccadic eye movement, tracking and object permanence.
