We are waaaay behind on updating the blog here… but you know you can’t write about stuff if you’re not out there living it. December, to no one’s surprise, was an extremely busy month. It was also Ted’s 9th month with us. It does go by quickly!
One of the highlights of the month was our visit up north for Christmas. Ted got to have his first Christmas, and see his first New England snow. We’ll probably post some more photos from the week soon. We were glad he got to hang out with so many of his relatives.
Ted’s rapidly increasing palette of food now includes avocado (illustrated above), mango, chicken, and rice cakes (in addition to all the other kinds of food he eats). He’s so far a little picky, but eats a fair amount of what we feed him.
He does, for the record, love Cheerios.
We went to the doctor for his checkup today and they said he weighed almost 21 lbs. Also, the doctor said he had an ear infection! We picked up some antibiotics and hopefully it will clear up soon. He hasn’t been pulling his ears or anything… we had no idea. He may have been distracted by the two new teeth coming in.
He’s not crawling yet, but he’s close. He scoots backwards on his hands and knees, and always seems a little outraged that he’s not moving forward. He lunges for everything around him now. We can no longer leave knives and matches lying about the house. We may have to seriously consider babyproofing soon.
Checking the blog from FL, amazing. While stuck in Dulles airport for 8 hours, I found a sign that said, “Ted is happy to see you”. It was not for sale and too big to fit in my carry on! Poor Ted, teeth and ears. High tolerance for pain! Ear aches are nasty. Nice avocado moustacheo. xxoo miss you all
What a big kid!! ear infections are rough, make sure to talk loud to him so he can still hear you!! It was a wonderful visit and we can’t wait to see you again!
Love
