Ted is twenty-five months old, and is still somewhat confused by the whole sandwich thing, but we don’t sweat it, as he still eats lots of other healthy things. His palette didn’t expand all that much during April… unless you count the chocolate bunny on Easter.
Speaking of Easter, we also went to visit our fellow Yankee re-locators at Schimfamilyblog who cooked us a great meal and entertained us, and Ted got to play disc golf for the first time. He threw pretty well for a two year old, and only hit me a few times.

Speaking of sports – Ted loves them. He and I went to a parent-tot sports class for a few Saturdays in April and Ted learned how to throw and catch a ball, as well as running with a football. He’s also pretty obsessed with the idea of playing basketball, and mentions it frequently.

Ted helped us plant a tree this month too, right in our back yard. It was a birthday gift from friends, and Ted was glad that it attracted birds right away. During the planting process he dug a little dirt, dumped some dirt around the roots, and helped us water our new back yard tree. Check out that red North Carolina dirt… like digging through brick.
(Hey, check out how much our pine trees have grown since we planted them! )
Other notables from April:
* Ted had his first bubble bath, much to his joy.
* He finished up another round of Kindermusic class. The singing and dancing continue at home.
* He had his 2 year checkup. All his parts are in good working order.
* We attended the Maker Faire last weekend, and Ted got to see robot bugs and other cool nerdy things.
* He now says “I love you momma” and “I love you dadda” on his own. Pretty rad.

Don’t know who is growing faster, the child or the trees! So glad that Ted’s parts are all in working order and that he is a two fisted eater! Gram and Pops love Ted and his mamma and dadda.
Love that sandwich on a fork! He’s got such mad skills, we are very impressed! Appears he is very handy with that digging in the red clay, the tree looks like a very nice addition to the yard. Where is Kate’s raised garden going?
Love you all!
