Ted is twenty-seven months old

We are pretty late in posting here.  Just pretend it’s June 30th. We were traveling on his monthaversery – another big road trip adventure, which we’ll post about soon.

Here’s Ted holding the a kitchen cabinet shut. I’m not sure why he’s doing it. (Kidding: we keep it child-proof-locked!)  Twenty-seven month old Ted is into jokes, humor, and shenanigans, as you can see by the look on his face.

Also, he’s had a haircut since this photo was taken, his third!  His curly hair is pretty complex to cut, according to Kate.

Here’s Ted with a giant praying mantis at a zoo & playground he went to in June with some friends.  His life, make no mistake, is pretty exciting.

The photo below shows him going down a giant leaf slide at the same playground.  He’s into stunts, this one.  Totally brave (unaware?) about heights.  He likes swimming, too.  He and Kate and some friends went to the ocean in June as well.  Ted still loves the water, be it kiddie pool, water table, or ocean.

The photo below shows Ted in his cardboard house, now decorated (thanks Gram G!) with all manor of transportation-themed cutouts.  He is still way into transportation, and whenever he sees two or more chairs he can line up, he makes a train out of them. Which is sometimes then a car. Or an airplane.

Speaking of numbers, his twenty-seventh month marked his acknowledgment of both the number 5 and 6, and that they belong in between 4 and 7.  Despite learning almost the entire alphabet, he still thought 5 and 6 were something his parents just randomly yelled to him while he was counting.
