Hard to Believe

Posted by Patrick on September 5th, 2008

Hard to believe its been two years since we left little Rhodey.

What a thing to do…. pack up and head off into the country with nothing more than a Craigslist handshake and a couple of disgruntled cats.

It’s been great, though. And sad sometimes. And awesome other times. However hard or silly or non-Yankee its been (and sometimes it was all three at once), it’s all been worth it.

To say that Zoe is happy I am home would be a large understatement.  She would glue us together if she could.  Ted is starting to notice her too.  The first day we were home he watched her walk by with his mouth wide open, like -wow, what in the world is that amazing thing!  Since then he has been keeping an eye on her.  Yesterday Ted napped on my stomach while Zoe slept on my legs.  I think they are going to be good friends.

Zoe

Zoe absolutely loves Ted’s stuff.  She climbs into his chair and his stroller and would no doubt sleep in his crib if we let her.  She curls up on his blankets and covets his toys.

Baby toys are exactly like cat toys minus the cat nip.  She stares longingly when I try to interest Ted in a toy that makes a crinkly noise.  I know she is thinking- just toss that in the air and I will show you how to play with that crinkly bug.

These days Ted’s interests mainly focus on eating, sleeping, cuddling, and being walked around…  but Zoe is all about the stuff.

Four Week-iversary

Posted by Katherine on April 27th, 2008

Yesterday Ted got his first ever bottle feeding.  The plan being that Dad may take over the midnight meal.

It went really well.  So we gave him another bottle today.

It also seemed to go really well.  So tomorrow night I may get to sleep for more than three or four hours in a row.  Craziness.

Zoe seems to finally be forgiving me for bringing home the competition.

Just three days till Ted is one month old.  I can’t believe it.

Oh yeah and Happy Birthday Mom!

This Week

Ted is growing like a weed… If weeds got chubby instead of tall…  He is almost too big for the diapers that were way to loose on him when we first brought him home.   And now we are using those Pampers Swaddlers because the Huggies have started leaking.  I guess with diapers, its all about the fit and one week, one brand may fit, next week who knows?

Here’s Ted showing off his new khakis.ted4.jpg

And here he is ready for a walk, looking like a Barrett.  Although I guess that could just be the silly floppy hat.

And here are the cats.  Moses is still too fluffy for words and Zoe is still queen of the couch.
