Round 1:  Auntie opens up with an over-the-shoulder pile-drive!!!

Round 2: Teddy brings the pain in a classic ankle-twister! That has to hurt!

Round 3:  Auntie sets up the helicopter-off-the-ropes drop!  Brutality!

Across The State

Posted by Patrick on January 24th, 2010

We had a visitor last week from Forks of Ivy.  Aunt Deirdre drove near clear across the state to visit us, dodging treacherous rock slides along the way.

We went to downtown Raleigh, Trader Joe’s, and Hemlock Bluffs state park for a hike.   She treated us to supper at The Remedy Diner in downtown Raleigh, which was very tasty. Lots of fun!

Fayetteville Street in Raleigh, enjoying the free wifi now offered.

Ted’s first walking-almost-the-whole-way hike, over a mile!

Leaves – the fascination is real.

Summertime

Posted by Patrick on July 16th, 2009

We haven’t posted anything in July!  Too busy doing things.  We were up north for several days, and are just now getting back into the normal groove of things back home.

Here are some pics from the trip. It was great to see lots of people.  Ted got to go to the beach (twice!), the zoo, a parade, the chiropractor, and visit lots of friends and family.

Road Trip

Posted by Patrick on June 11th, 2009

Last weekend we packed up the car and headed out west to visit our aunts.  They live in western NC and run the Forks of Ivy blog.  They just built a new house with a great view of the surrounding area.  It was nice to get away from suburbia for a few days, and nice to see our now in-state family!

Ted had a great time – he enjoyed running around and dancing and hanging with his fam.

We went for a short hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway, too.

And there were pancakes!  Delicous fresh pancakes that Ted gobbled right up.  Ted prefers locally ground pancake-mix we think.  He was very well behaved the entire weekend.

Can’t wait for our next trip out there!
